I'm a little confused on how GOG classifies certain games. This is all taken from the "Games" drop down box a t the top of the screen. Consider the following:
Deus Ex: Invisible War and Daikatana are all labeled under "Action" games.
Rise of the Triad, Shogo: Mobile Armor Division and Raptor: Call of the Shadows are all considered "Shooters".
Descent 1, 2, and 3 are all considered "Simulation" games somehow.
They're all first person shooters with the same basic gameplay except for Raptor, which is a scrolling shooter. In general the distinction between Action and Shooters is arbitrary.
Should GOG rework their genres? Anyone else with any insights? Thank you.
