joking apart, I have an old machine that worked really well with all my old DOS/WIN3.11/95 e.t.c, but partners/wifes e.t.c take exeption to big beige boxes, next to the main TV,

So have taken it upon myself instead, please its ok don't fret no..no dont worry it time spent well and the pain was worth it...

I myself have setup a boX based arround an ION 330 w/4GB ram for the sole purpose.... of playing.......OLD GAMES........(someone please catch the old woman at the back a faint like that could be fatal)

anyways...

onwards...

xp runs well which is good for certain stuff. also dual booting with windows 7 works well. virtualisation packages come and go but i feel VMware seems to be better than most when requring a pure dos enviroment, it also works well with win 95 or 98

with this in mind dosbox and any other emu including mame work fine

having both setups helps as if one OS refuses to work with a given application, the other generally works....

Damn.. it must be the single malt.. forgot to say, the audio in the ION 330 is about as good as trying to listen to your favourite album whilst being hit over the head wearing a helmet....do as i did go buy a creative 5.1 usb....
