It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hi all,

just stumbles across this site http://www.sarien.net and they offer several rewritten versions of old Adventure games, directly playable in your browser (based on HTML 5).

What do you guys think about it?

I really love the idea :)

Games:
Gold Rush!
King's Quest 1 - 3
Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards
Police Quest 1
Space Quest 1 + 2
The Black Cauldron
I was under the impression what they were doing was illegal...

but I don't know any more than that.

The first time I heard about this website, the games were close to unplayable anyway in that browser format.

[edit] to clarify, by "illegal" I mean they aren't sanctioned in any way by Vivendi (Activision).

They still seem to be unplayable.
Browser is not a gaming platform. It's a fucking browser to surf the fucking web. And the web is not a videogame, not an application, not a file system, not a computer :-)

(aka "I don't like playing games in my Firefox. I like playing games on my computer, with my Internet connection shut down for good"....)

Tell these guys: http://games.freeciv.net/wireframe.jsp?do=login
Erm... it stutters on a PC with SSD, 16GB RAM and a six core 3.2 Ghz Phenom II.
The handling is cumbersome..

If u want some example of a "browser game" how about quake live? ^^
hmm, I am playing with the crome browser and it is running really fast and smooth :)
