I own the GW trilogy from Steam, and I just bought Eye of the North. But I'm a little confused as to how to proceed next.

It says I own the game but now I have to link it or something, and I have no idea what to do. Any advice on how to get it going would be most appreciated. Thank you.

copy the cd key from steam and log in to your ncsoft account on their site and add the key to it, all you need to do is let NCsoft know you own the game :)

Ok, I have the CD key, but good lord I hate the NCSoft site! I log in, and go to "Apply Serial Code" and put in my code for Guild Wars (the trilogy, because apparently it isn't registered there - it says "An existing account not listed here")

So, I hit "Link and upgrade account" - it then says "you must link your GW account to your NCSoft account" and it asks for an account name and password.

I'm already logged in, so I don't know if they're asking for my NCSoft info, or my GW info or what, but I can't seem to get past this point.

You probably will have to log in [at that last point there] w/ your Guild Wars login. I know that my guildwars login is similar to my NCSoft but not identical [they added an @ncsoft to the user name, and it has a different password].

I bought my copy of Guild Wars from Direct2Drive I think though, just copied the CD key and registered it directly w/ my NCSoft account [didn't own guild wars previously so it might have been easier for me]
You can always see if you can get help from the support forum: https://forum.guildwars.com/forum/
Ok, thanks! Looks like I got it, and it was simpler than I was making it.

I added the key to my existing GW account, not bothering with NCSoft, but now I see access to it is only through certain characters in the different campaigns and you have to be at least level 10 to get started.

I appreciate the help.

edit: of course, that's kind of a bummer, lol. The only character I want to use for it is level 15 and I don't want to leave pre- until I get the LDOA title, so it may be a while. :-)
