They probably fixed the problem that was mentioned (a year ago) in this thread.
Old Myst ME installer - 441 MB.
New Myst ME installer - 552 MB.

Ah, that would be cool. As far as I can see quicktime is involved that problem, maybe they found a general solution. I'm very interested in that topic, because I hope someday we will get THQ and Civilization 2 here. Civ2 itself runs with a 64bit patch very good on modern systems, but all videos need quicktime. For Myst itself I'm waiting for scummvm-support, but I guess it will take some time to a full-working release version.
The installed folder sized of new ME and old ME are almost identical.
The new installer drops the manual in the game folder. And the Readme.txt of the disc version. Adds GFW icon and goggame.dll. No apparent changes to the exe or the movies.
