So I caved in and bought this game, even though from the outside it seemed kind of low on content and gameplay. Well, I was right about gameplay (just Texas Hold'em), but as far as content I was dead wrong. This game is loaded with charm! The telltale guys supposedly wrote more dialogue for this game than any of their others, and it shows. Its so much fun just to listen to the banter of the characters (with awesome voice acting!).

This game is so chill and relaxing. Its a perfect way to cool down after long gaming sessions or after a stressful day. This game is truly a casual game for hardcore gamers (though maybe not hardcore poker players). I highly recommend it!
It's fucking brilliant even though the AI is pretty bad. I raise to about $2500 and everyone on the table folds. I don't even have good hands!

I thought you had me buy it for you so you'd get that ingame item?

It's the same AI they used for Telltale Texas-Hold-Em. This is one of the only games I haven't purchased from them. I can't believe they would just re-skin one of their older games.

Yeah... but you need to play to win the ingame items.

To be honest, I think the real enjoyment of this game isn't in the gameplay. Its in watching the interactions between the four characters. It might be a re-skin in your eyes, but to me it makes a huge difference!

edit: Also, this game is actually cheaper than their old texas hold 'em game :-P

Fun game so far...haven't spent a lot of time with it yet, but it seems quite entertaining. And for $5, whatever. :)
Yeah, I played it a little bit yesterday and I had a *great* time playing it. Dialogs are fantastic, and the "feel" of a real poker table is there. Very, very well done.

Also, I have raised 2500+ in a game yesterday only to see Max re-raise me and force me to go All-In (and I lost that game). So I guess AI is not so predictable as it seems to be at first - after all, if someone raises 2500 before the flop, I'd definitely fold unless 1) I have a really good hand, or 2) I have loads of cash already.
