This came up in Runehamster's LP suggestion thread and I decided to make a new topic as opposed to derailing his thread. A comment of his made me want to talk about comic strips, mainly syndicated strips that appear in your daily newspaper.
I'm sure you can guess, but my favorite strip is Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson. For me, he manages to blend humor and philosophy very well. The simplicity of his drawings allow for a wide range of expressions on the characters, but also allow you to focus on the writing as well.
So, what strips have you enjoyed reading? Were there any that made/make you flip to the comics page of your paper everyday to read the new strip?
