Buckle up your seat belt and start your engine. TOCA Race Driver 3 has just arrived to GOG.com games catalogue.
Test your driving skills while playing TOCA Race Driver 3. The game offers many real-life competitions like the British GT, DTM, IRL and 35 Types of Racing like GT, rally and off-road. The realistic physics and controls force you to practice as much as it takes to beat the opposition! Thanks to a great number of events and an even greater number of cars available, TOCA is one of the most extensive and realistic driving simulations available on PC. The game is available at GOG.com for only $9.99 and is without the StarForce protection system.
Awesome :) Even if it will eat up about half my monthly download allocation, this is going on the buy list next payday.
Well, this will give the Downloader something to chew on!
I'm kinda wondering how this is an 'old' game, but okay.
Well, it can only get older throughout the years so the faster it's available the better ;)
old?
But anyway... i remember playing Toca2 back in the day... now that was a pretty good old game.
(PS/ If we are extending "good old games" to mean "liberating games from starforce" then can i put in a request for Chaos League?? I always wanted to buy that game.. but the starforce put me off. It'll keep me going until Bloodbowl gets released...)
This game seems to be the last big budget PC racing title intended to look photorealistic before all the gaming industry decided to turn every one of their games in movie-like saturated colors.
Sigh.

Great racing game and best thing is, it is now Starforce free. :D
Yeah, Starforce has gone! I got retail version and my DVD is scratched to hell (I suspect my cat) and I can't play it anymore. So I'm gonna buy my new life-time copy for sweet price. Thanks!
edit: I wouldn't dare to call Toca RD3 realistic game - it's on half way from arcade to realism (especially rally part is pure arcade). Realistic race games are Richard Burn's Rally, LFS, rFactor, GTR or Race series maybe

I think this needs to be said. In Australia, we have this, but under the name of V8 Supercars 3. If possible, could the name on the game page be changed so this is pointed out?
Minimum system requirements: Windows XP or Windows Vista, 1 GHz Processor (1.4 GHz recommended), 256MB RAM (512 recommended), 3D graphics card compatible with DirectX 7 (compatible with DirectX 9 recommended), Mouse, Keyboard.
... That's a joke, right?
Minimum:
System:
Pentium 4 or Athlon at 1.5GHz or equivalent
RAM:
512 MB
Video Memory:
64 MB
Hard Drive Space:
6000 MB
Recommended:
System:
Pentium 4 or Athlon at 3.2GHz or equivalent
RAM:
1024 MB
Hard Drive Space:
7000 MB
Other:
ATi Radeon 8xxx and above, nVidia GeForce 4 and above

Why a joke?
Basically, because you don't have a chance to run the game on mashine, which is equal to minimal requirements stated on GoG. Actual game minimum is 512 RAM, not 256, which is half of it, a bit faster CPU and I sincerely doubt you could run the game on DX7 supporting graphics card, but I'm not sure of that

Nope, that was a mistake. ;) We've updated the system requirements for TRD3.

And in Germany and the Netherlands (probably more) it's called DTM Race Driver. And in USA it's Pro Race Driver.
