Have you ever found yourself admiring the courage of submarine crews and commanders? If you ever wished to be a patient hunter, lurking under the sea and waiting for just the right moment, here's your chance.
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/silent_hunter_2]Silent Hunter II is the second installment of the acclaimed submarine simulator series, putting you in command of a German U-Boat. The game lets you learn about and relive the most daring and famous submarine operations of the Kriegsmarine's U-Bootwaffe. With literally tons of different vessels, each with a detailed description, all you naval history fans will have a lot of material to keep yourselves busy. The game's realism settings can be modified to fit your needs and abilities and on the highest setting the missions will be almost as thrilling and difficult as the real thing.
Woohoo!
Since the GOG announcement of Silent Hunter 2, time has passed sooooooooooo slowly!
But now it's here. Purchasing as soon as I get home.
Thanks. GOG!
Hey this game is like
Flight Simulator: Operation Submerged !
Opa!
Maybe it is just me, but the images show a very placid ocean; like a large dark swimming pool. Are there no waves in this game?

Actually it depends on the weather. :) It may happen that the see is as smooth as velvet... Or it might be as the hell unleashed where your boat bounces on the waves like a ball on a football pitch. Add a fog to it and you'll have the Archangielsk convoy mission.
it is to my belief that these ideal weather screens were chosen because there is more light on them and so it's easier to distinguish things on thumbnails.
After watching Das boot not so long ago i am in the mood for this game. I am not an avid sim fan but i like the look of this.
