We're proud to present this great adventure game, courtesy of Focus Home, which proves that modern technology and 3D graphics can mix well with classic design concepts.
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/runaway_a_road_adventure]Runaway: A Road Adventure is an adventure game, which made the transition into three dimensions without sacrificing the cartoonish "feel" and the old point-and-click control method we all know and love. Despite being made in 2001, the graphics are just beautiful, especially if you're into cel shading. The story is that of Brian Basco, a college graduate on his way to Berkeley, California. His trip towards the good life suddenly makes a wrong turn, when he just barely avoids running over a gorgeous, scantily-clad woman named Gina, and soon finds himself knee-deep in trouble...
I like the cel-shading style they've used in this game. It did well enough for them to make a sequel at one point (Dream of the Turtle), and it looks like they are working on a 3rd.
Honestly, I had forgotten there was an English translation! And I've yet to play any.
Adventure games, good to see more of them on GOG :)
Oooh, I've read about Runaway, and it looks great. Definitely getting this one.
Very good point and click. ^___^
Isn't terribly old, but seems like a good story, and that's 2/3 from the GOG charter (it's good, and it also happens to be a game).
Never heard of it, but it looks like it might be fun.
Good to see another adventure game added! These were the meat and potatoes of my early gaming life, let me tell you.
Ooh a new point & click adventure? I thought I'd grab it for sure but it's the 9.99 price which is ever so slightly more than I can afford at the moment but then I find myself more compelled by the magic words "striptease dancer"...
Aahh damn you GOG! Stop torturing me! It'll have to be next pay.
Oooo! I was planning on trying this one for quite some time now.
Looking forward to it!
Any plans to release the sequel also?
I have to admit that I don't like this game very much. It's got great graphics, but the story is stupid, the dialogues are childish and the puzzles are not at all logical. Sorry. :)

I somewhat agree with this. I did enjoy a lot of the game, but not all of it for sure.
What is the best thing is that this game had Starforce on it when first released and now the gog version is DRM Free. This is simply wonderful.

The Steam versions work on my Vista 64 comp, no problems.
