The latest addition to our catalog is a game unlike any other. Create a political force from the ground up, start a revolution and determine the future of your people, all from safety of your home and the comfort of your chair.
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/republic_the_revolution]Republic: The Revolution is a strategy/simulation game with a unique concept. Rather than leading troops to battle or building a financial empire, your goal in this game is to remove a ruthless dictator from power and install a new government. You create your character by answering a series of questions to determine what kind of person he will be. Then you will have to use wealth, influence or force to achieve your goal. Bribe the police, "remove" your opposition, take control of the media. Send your supporters on missions or get your own hands dirty. Finally, gain enough power to liberate the people of Novistrana, or become a new dictator yourself...
i have never heard about this but the concept looks interesting

Exactly my thoughts!
Right now, I have too much games I'd like to play, but I'll definitely check this one out later.

Also, how fitting, a game with the name "The revolution" from the publisher "Rebellion" :-). This reminds me of a quote from Micah Sanders, from Heroes: "Che Guevara led a revolution. This is a rebellion."

The concept certainly is unique. I think the success of the game depends on how much freedom the player has. If it is too linear, I don't think it'll work very well. Still, it looks interesting. Gotta be worth a try.
Wow, this is extremely obscure.
I've never even heard of this one :/
I haven't heard of this game either, and it looks amazing O_O

Also guy has 25 videos showing gameplay on his channel. So i guess he really likes it :P You should check it. Game looks really really promising.
I too, have never heard of this, but I am very tempted, so come midnight and a new billing cycle on the ol' CC I may just have to give this whirl.
haha
I'll be joining the group of the people who haven't heard of this before ( or at least forgotten everything I may have heard about it ).
Which of course means it sounds even more interesting :)
So lets ask... Who has ever heard about this game? :D

highest score on metacritic is 80
and what you can deduct from there is that there is quite a consensus on the game:
interesting concept, very deep for people who like the idea.
but it gets severe beatings in ratings due to horrible interface and insane learning curve (reading the manual is a must)
the mission design also hampers the richness of the concept.
so i suppose you simply have to love the idea of the game, so you'll be able to stand the complications :p
well this game definitely look interesting i will def get this at some point
