The first title from the just announced agreement with Funbox Media is not a game for kids and will definitely make you get goose pimples all over.

Realms of the Haunting is, first and foremost, a horror game, but contains an interesting mix of different genres. It's a first-person perspective game with quite a bit of shooting involved, but is also an adventure game and has some RPG elements. Finally, there are many FMV sequences on top of it all. This sounds overwhelming and believe us Realms of the Haunting is one of those few games that do a good job at blending different genres.

The story is by far the strongest quality of Realms of the Haunting - it's solid and keeps you hooked from the beginning to the very end. The presentation, despite the old visuals, does a great job at keeping the suspense up and give you a good scare when required. The free-look camera and freedom of movement result in a strong connection between you and the game.
You're not too scared to play this game... Are you?
Yes!!! One of my all time favorite games, beat it about 20+ times. Still have the disks. Thanks GOG!
ok, I've started the game yesterday night, skipped the intro to just take a look at the environment and gameplay, and it was SO GREAT!!! :D

I'm really looking forward to stop being sick and be able to spend the whole night with this beauty ;)
Err, wow! I absolutely loved this game back in the day! I still have the actual game but despite my faffing around with various settings could never get it to work on my modern machine. I will definitely be purchasing this game!

that's what I'm planning, when the time and atmosphere is right... :)

EDIT: also, I've just noticed:

"The presentation, despite the old visuals, does a great job..."

may be old, but it looks wonderful! put a screenshot of RotH and Crysis 2 next to each other and I would choose RotH, because it has atmosphere! :D

oh damn, I'm so bad at shooters :( why, WHY?!

Unfortunately, this is the version of the game that doesn't have an Easy difficulty.

While the topic primarily mentions key bindings, using that "patch" also adds in the difficulty options. Just be sure to read ALL the instructions.

thank you... if it was a pure shooter I wouldn't say a word, but since it's basically an adventure, I'm not so thrilled by situation where I know what to do next but I'm out of medipacks or ammo...
add to wishlist... DAMN, i love this site

Ammo isn't much of a problem at least. There are rechargeable weapons in the game. Oh and a sword; which isn't bad against the initial minions if you swing it while walking backwards.
I bought this game when it first came out because I love Antony Crowther as a Programmer !

I know that he made some of the best games ever, RPGs that is...

now GOG u have to release its (spiritual) sequel, the great Soulbringer!!!
http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/soulbringer/reviews/reviewerId,8375/
it was put in development from the same team just after the completing of ROTH.
I played that game as it came out looooooooooong time ago. I spent nights for it...for a reason...this one is one of the best games I ever played. I compared todays AAA titles to that game as well especially if it comes to the lenght. Sadly, I wasn't able to run it on my todays modern machine. But thanks to GOG, I have my beloved ROTH back. I played the game in german that time so I am totally thrilled to play it finally in english.

Get it, it is truly one of the best games GOG has to offer !!!
