nadmysel: Hmm...I found out, that the RoA 2 - GOG version doesn´t have speech-audio and no intro. It tries to load it but almost immediately there shows up the menu "novice/advanced". And as the elf on the start of the game speaks to the player it´s missing the first part of the first sentence - "As you already know, the Orcish uprising was defeated..." or similar. I have expected, that the official version of this game will be flawless, but it´s not. Will there be some patch for it or something similar soon on GOG?

Have you tried contacting the support team about it? Although the staff regularly checks these announcement threads, it's better to (also) let them know directly.

The one GOG has now is the same as my physical CD copy - Voice Acting and Midi Music (I'm not aware of any release with HQ-Music; there was a soundtrack but that was just the midi files fed into Roland or whatever).

Sidenote: For some reason the music only sort of worked and the sound didn't work out of the box for me, had to manually set it to generic midi for music, and sound blaster pro for sound. Nothing major for me as I spent DAYS configuring the originals (ahh, the good old DOS days), but it would probably turn off some people (on Win8 if that matters).

English version never had a release with HQ-Music.
