We all knew this day would come eventually and here it is. One of the greatest games of all time and the definition of "cult classic", Planescape: Torment is here on GOG.com... And you won't get it anywhere else!

Just like right after we released [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/baldurs_gate_the_original_saga]Baldur's Gate, most of you are probably downloading this game right now, or are lying unconscious on the floor. In case you haven't heard of Planescape: Torment, it's only one of the most famous cRPGs out there. What sets it apart from most other RPGs is that it's almost entirely story-driven, meaning you can solve most problems through talking and you will rarely be required to get violent. With over 5000 lines of great dialogue, vivid and memorable characters, superb music and an absolutely enthralling story, you can expect a gaming experience that you will never forget. Most importantly, Planescape: Torment is the "god tier" of role-playing games and you can't honestly call yourself a gamer if you haven't played it.

GameRager: I'm talking about the BOOKS and scrolls/etc you can read in-game....they're all over the place.
yeah there are lots of them, but books mainly contains 1 or 2 pages some more like 7 but still it's very very very very very very little compared to PT and text used on screen in story.
Excellent, my cds are getting worn out. I need a digital copy. I guess you can tell I like the game a little. :-)
not that it MAKES it a good game but it's certainly a sign of a good game: the opening level/sequence never gets old. I never thought about starting a new game and then groaned and said damn blimp site/castle stroll/mindless imp slaughter/lame scorpion pyramid. It was very different pretty much every time depending on how I built my character and the choices I made.

GameRager: Are you KIDDING ME?!? Some books had like 10-15 pages, and the books filled every house.....yeah alot were duplicates but still. I'd rather read dialogue than books any day, which is why I guess(to me) the text in TES games seemed longish.
I agree that story dialogs are way more fun than some books BUT still PT Story is like 5000 pages. Not even baldurs gate 2 come close. Just first talk with morte is like 1 page ..... And then you can freely talk with your comrades \nd each have rich dialogs.
