Play the revolutionary action-adventure shooter with isometric view.

In Crusader: No Remorse you are a Silencer, a member of an elite soldier group of the World Economic Consortium, a mega-corporation. During the last mission, which supposed to be a routine task, your squad gets into a WEC mech patrol ambush. Only you survived and to revenge your team mates you join the Resistance. Now, on the other side of the barricade, you'll face the military wrath of your former employers and save the world! A ton of crazy arsenal is there to help, from conventional guns that shoot bullets, rocket launchers to microwave gun or a plasma cannon. The Crusader can hack into security cameras or even take control of a WEC mech! He also has some cool gadgets to help him annihilate more swiftly, most notably the awesome Spiderbomb. Between missions you’re going to visit Resistance bases and unravel the engaging storyline through talking with other members of the movement. All of that with real life actors and awesome cut scenes! The music is simply amazing, made by Andrew Sega aka Necros, a legend in the demo community.

This game is simply what we call a classic, so if you haven't played it yet, now is the time (and if you played it already, it's time to replay it :))!

stoicsentry: People that have played this game: is it worth getting? Looks interesting, but I'm not positive.
Yes, this game is awesome. And for the record I'd never played this game before (so it's not nostalgia speaking), and action games usually aren't my cup of tea either. But Crusader really is an excellent game.

I think it's great to see that people who have never played this game before can still get into it and enjoy it, even without the pink nostalgia glasses many of the rest of us have on :-)

I enjoyed it even without cutscenes or between mission stuff as abandonware, and years after it's release no less. It truly is a cut above the rest.
I have just bought Crusader: No Remorse. I'm really hoping that GOG also add the second one, Crusader: No Regret.

I'm going to keep my eyes open for it, as I had both of these tiitle back in the day!
Great to see this released, will be buying it soon (I still have both this and the sequel on disc in my study). I only played the first one, the second one didn't work well on my computer at the time and so has languished ever since.

No Remorse had a great atmosphere and the video added to the experience. It was one of those few games that felt perfectly natural to play (similar, for me, with Tomb Raider 1, Fade To Black, Flashback) and rarer still one of the few that I have ever finished.

[EDIT] Oh yeah, the music in the game is great and the files are basically mod files (and there is a converter that takes them from the Crusader format and converts them to proper mods.

Wishbone: That's not entirely accurate. True, you can't change the controls, but you don't have to use the numpad. That's just the option most people seem comfortable with. There are a number of control schemes implemented, one of which uses the arrow keys with ctrl and alt as modifiers. You can also forego some movement options, and just use the arrow keys and a mouse.

All the different control schemes are detailed in the manual.

JudasIscariot: Might have to change my mousing hand in order to use my arrow keys and CTRL and ALT because those are on the bottom right corner of my netbook keyboard :D
You totally _can_ changed your keymapping in dosbox. you can do whatever you want with the keymapping, just enter dosbox and open the keymapper help screen, it will show you how to do it, you can then save your mappings to a file and associate them with no remorse in a dosbox frontend like d-fend.
go to the dosbox wiki and look-up keymapping.
oh crap, my old saves don't work with this version... well, I'm gonna have to kill all those bastards all over again :)
How many (PC) versions of this game are there? I see a couple (PC) play throughs on youtube, but they don't match the version (gog) that I have. Just wondering.

Are you sure they're not Crusader: No Regret playthroughs? No Regret is the sequel.

Yea .. pretty sure, but I'll check anyway. If I can find the video again, I'll post a link back here.
No Remorse: you start with a pistol.

No Regret: you start with an assault rifle.
So how many are racing to complete this game just knowing the sequel is due to be released soon?
Does it contain the FMV clips and audio? or is it completely ripped?
