We've all been watching movies and playing games featuring fighter aircrafts. But have you ever wondered how it would be to pilot a bomber? Now you can check it for yourself.

In [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/b_17_flying_fortress_the_mighty_8th]B-17 Flying Fortress: The Mighty 8th you not only can pilot one of the most powerful and deadliest machines of World War II, but you can become any of the ten crew members of the bomber. Check your skills as a pilot, navigator, gunner, bombardier or even radio operator. You have the total control over the massive bomber and it's up to you to manage your crew, reposition members to cope with wounded aircrew, or take the turret or the rudder in your hands. To accomplish the dangerous bombing missions you'll have to prove yourself in every crew position and bring your boys safely home. And while we're at the assignments, there are 25 realistic missions based on historically accurate scenarios and targets. If you want to take a break from the massive bombers, you can also fly a variety of escort fighters or even square off against the Flying Fortress as a German Luftwaffe pilot. With the great visuals, realistic sounds, terrific flight and damage modeling you'll see what it was like to be a part of 10-man crew, and only for $5.99.

Yes, on old polish movies I noticed this too (well not from 40'-50' but rather 60':-) - it was very common that women wore hats & gloves when leaving house and it was hard to see a man over 40 without hat & tie. And we are talking about 'normal' people not some aristocrats etc.

tburger: Is it just me or anyone else thinks that those girls from 40’ and 50’ looked absolutely stunning? Their hairdo, the way they dressed – an essence of womanhood :-)
Not that I wish to be rude or anything, but this particular one's hairdo looks pretty useful for cracking nuts :)

woow! and what mircroprose's simulation is next!? the b17 flightfortres, the task force 1942, or the mitics 1942 pacific air war gold and European air war?

I can wait the next isues

Pd: one question: Does this version have the 2 patchs?
Would be great to see European Air War again, patched up to work on modern PCs. I have it, but haven't been able to play it for years. Can't remember what the exact issue was.

Nice one :-)
... but when it comes to girls in uniforms nothing can beat this
<quote>gawaing - woow! and what mircroprose's simulation is next!?</quote>

I would like to see F117-Stealth-Fighter. (Nighthawk) Although - When played via Dosbox the sound is Scratchy / garbled. If the sound problem could be fixed, that would be great. edition.
.. As would - Silent service 2 and Gunship 2000. :)

F-15 S E is a good one also. (I used to play a lot of these old games on a 286, a 386 and 2 different 486's. I guess that kinda gives my (old) age away. :)
