First game I bought this year (along Betrayal Krondors)

Really fun game, recommended for everyone.

I delight in this game. Zombie shooter was possibly even more awesome, in a more arcade-y way. Buy it now!

On a side note, if this computer runs AS2:R, I'm buying a copy here, mine's on Steam.

Great game. This one actually reminds me of the Crusader series for some reason...

Isometric gameplay most likely, and scifi elements.

I noticed GoG put a release date of September 7, 2006. If this is the Reloaded version then the release date should be 14 March 2009 according to some other websites. I could be wrong though.

They make all the difference. It's so satisfying to level up. One of my fave games of that year. Weapons are also quite balanced too. It may not look like it, but this here is a 5-star game.

-edit- Wait this is Reloaded? I don't know if they also cut the number of weapons, but the streamlining of stats really trimmed the appeal quite a bit. To begin with, I never thought that having stats to determine your ability to use items was troublesome, but maybe Sigma Team disagrees. It was also one of the main reasons why I felt Zombie Shooter 2 wasn't as good as Alien Shooter 2: Vengeance.

You are right. Reloaded is an updated (and somehow dumbed down, but not in a bad way) versione of Alien Shooter 2 Vengeance. A similar things was done later with the first AS named Revisited, that inherited the AS2 engine and sprite to update the first AS.
Sigma team continue to update their games but selling them as new and that sometimes piss off users who purchased the previous game.
Recently AS2:Conscription was released, and is an updated version of Reloaded more focused on horde of aliens.

However I hope to see AS2:Vengeance on GoG because I like it more than Reloaded and could be a good extra (but as I said, even if the game share 95% of the previous game, Sigma team sell it separately as new).

More than Old Games, Sigma Teams Games are new games with Old Style and Gameplay (which I like however).

If you like Alien Shooter series do check out some others such as 'Shadowgrounds' and the sequel 'Shadowgrounds Survivor' Not on GOG yet, but do a search on google. Recommended.

Also, the new Alien Breed trilogy and Alien Swarm.

Great title.

Although strange that GOG offered the first game in its original form (not the Revisited version), while this second is not in the original but it's the Reloaded version.

I'm waiting for you two, Zombie Shooter 1 and 2. Oh, and Alien Shooter 2: Conscription. ;)
