Note that the Home versions of 64-bit Windows 7 have reduced physical memory limits.
Home Basic has a memory limit of 8GB.
Home Premium has a memory limit of 16GB.
Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate have a memory limit of 192GB.
If you would ever want more than 8GB (say, 12GB on an LGA 1366 board; or 16GB on any board), be sure not to get Home Basic.
If you would ever want more than 16GB, be sure to get Professional or Ultimate.
