drmlessgames: But the DnD games that were on the top of the list did make it here. : )

cogadh: And how many games that were not in the top ten did we get before that? Dozens. How many are still in the top ten that we still don't have? Most of them. Sure, its a nice treat that GOG has come through on some of those games, but lets not kid ourselves, that really had nothing at all to do with the number of votes the game received on the wishlist, but had everything to do with the wrangling done by the GOG sales team.
Oh stop being such a pessimist.........maybe gog tried and failed multiple times to get those top wanted titles so they had to release what they could? Ever think of that?

Yes, and that has nothing to do with my point. The fact that Game X has 10000+ votes is no indication about whether or not we will ever see it here and has no influence whatsoever on whether or not we will ever see it here. That doesn't mean GOG is not still trying to get that game, quite the opposite in fact, they are probably trying very hard to get that game, but they were trying to get that game long before the wishlist even existed and would still be trying to get that game if the wishlist had never been implemented simply because it is one of the "core" Good Old Games that they always intended to try and get. The System Shock games as well as all the others in the top 10, possibly as high as the top 50, already fall into that category, with or without the wishlist.

So you're honestly going to believe they don't use or want to use such things as the wishlist and user input to help better the site? I think they do. Of course i'm more of an optimist than a realist. I just see no point in being grounded all the time in reality. Reality is boring, that's part of why I game.

They removed all direct links to the wishlist from the site, what does that tell you about GOG's feelings about the wishlist? Sure they want user input, but even they realized that the wishlist as it is now just doesn't work for that.

Even so, they might have had good intentions for user input when they made it. I'm trying to make a substitute feasible until they get off their butts and do so themselves. Maybe it'll encourage them to do something. Maybe they'll take pointers from it(as if, but I hope). We'll see as time passes.
I would suspect GOG gets whatever games they can, which is also what they've likely been doing from the start. It would be rather strange to have them sitting there relying 100% on only what Wishlist voters wanted to decide who to negotiate with.

I don't think they did or do rely on it 100%, but it can still be a factor no matter the percent, as long as it's above 0%.
