Paul Meegan is out as the president of LucasArts. Here's hoping the new guy is willing to make a deal with GOG, I would REALLY love to see TIE Fighter on this service.

I bet they'll finally announce Darth Sidious has actually been the one running the company for a while now, and he only just decided to stop using a puppet to play the presidential role of the company.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Paul didn't care us. Hear me LucasArts. We want your old game here. Promise, you will never disappoint.

This. I very much doubt that this will result in any significant changes in policy for LucasArts. It'd be great if it did, but given the history of the company, I think it's extremely unlikely.
One can always hope ... I do!
Ron Gilbert for President!!! ;)
HERETICAL COMMENT

never played Tie Fighter or X Wing or Dark Forces but don't get your hopes up about it coming here
TIL LucasArts is still in business, surprisingly....

How is that in any way surprising? They own the Star Wars brand. They can put any sort of crap on a disc, print "Star Wars" on the cover, and undiscerning geeks will be lined up around the block to buy it. It's what they've been doing for the past 10 years.
Let's shower the new president with flowers and chocolate. The gift basket should have GOG.com's logo plastered all over it.

Then we'll get those bloody LucasArts games in no time.
What's this? More SW games? Whatever, carry on.
Please! Lucas Art old adventure games in GOG! I don't care it it's not the HD version!

And Battlefront 3! GAH!

Especially given that this is an internal promotion, I think you've nailed it there.

Internal promotion? To my knowledge, they haven't actually announced a replacement, just the current president's departure. For all we know they could end up hiring someone from outside the company, though that does seem unlikely.
