I've just noticed the favicon seems to have regained a little colour, it's now the nice purpley one they seem to use on social media.

Got to be better than the black and white one they had since the redesign.

I guess there is someone who doesn't know what a favicon is...

did you just started using barefoot essentials? because, among other things, it changes the favicon back to the colored one (green and yellow)

After disabling BE I see what you mean. For those wondering, here's the new favicon. From looking at the last-modified date I guess it may be have been added to the site yesterday.

Yup, this change is apparent since yeterday- yesterday it appeared only on the front page and the game pages, today it appears on the library and the forums too. A nice improvement it is. :-) Check the attachment to see what I mean (especially the people who use Barefoot Essentials and haven't thus seen the change).
