I just got home from my doctors appt. and logged on. I start scrolling down the catalogue and lo and behold there are about half a dozen games that have never been there before. Now, they aren't new releases since they've had reviews going back to 2008.

Are they still importing games to the site from the changeover (I wasn't here before then) or is just glitch in the site?

And the thing is, the Unreal games weren't there when I posted the original query. I wonder if it's sort of like the bug GamesRager has with his rep, where it's a bug that you have to be running a certain setup with certain drivers or something like that to get?

That's odd. Are you sure you just didn't notice them before? I know for a fact I've seen at least some of these a long time ago (Still Life, Celtic Kings, Unreal).

Celtic Kings and Spellforce were there long before the switch out of beta. I bought them months ago. I recall Perimeter as well, as I was thinking of buying that one too.

Yeah, I wrote a list down of all the games they offer here (I'm OCD about lists and keeping track of what I have and don't have on collections) and none of those were on it. That's why I'm wondering if it's just a random bug because of maybe the stuff I'm running with here or maybe just some straggling pieces of code from the change.

I mean it's really not important, I just find it odd. But the good thing is everyday can be like new release day lol

Are you saying that these games haven't showed up in the catalogue for you, until today? This is very weird. For me they always showed correctly.

So maybe I am NOT going mental when I see a game referenced that I could have SWORN I have never seen before. Or I am just latching onto a convenient excuse for being absent-minded?

Those are GOG Gold games that only open up to members who have at least a certain number of rep points. You won't believe what games are available to members who have 400 reps or more. ;)

So THAT'S how one gets System Shock 2, the Gold Box series and Duke Nukem Forever (which was really released 10 years ago but hidden in a special government conspiracy!)

Actually, you need to have joined the GOG forums back in 2007, and have several thousand reputation, to get Duke Nukem Forever. Of course, I didn't join in 2007 and have far less than the required reputation, so I certainly wouldn't know anything about this, much less any alternate, unspeakable methods of getting the game which may or may not involve countless human sacrifices atop a mountain that appears around where the old Blockbuster Video used to be once every one-thousand years, on that one night when time stops only for those instilled with an ancient knowledge, and even then for but an hour, while the skies turn red, and the moon fills the horizon in an eerie purple glow...

Of course, I wouldn't know anything about that, either...

Odd. I've never noticed any games go missing before. Especially not those. Maybe your browser didn't fully load the page properly before.
