I have started a thread on Uber Entertainments forum about Bringing both PA and Human Resources to GOG.com.

See here

I would love to see both of these games on GOG.com.

What do you think?

Should they come to GOG? YAY / NAY

EDIT: Forgot the LInk to Human Resources and Planetary Annihilation websites :)

"Human Resources" looks like it has a fun idea, despite its title :P, the demo screenshots made me recall the battles from "Godzilla", crashing the cardboard buildings around. Would like to see how that one evolves.
Yeeeya humans as resources!

and why i the nine hells Armageddon Empires is NOT on gog? I even wrote friendly email about it grrr :(

I might very well pledge to this one. Uber seems to have decent idea how to create rts.
Just giving this a bump :)
They're getting a lot of grief for starting this now, despite a lot of people feeling Planetary Annihilation is still missing crucial features. It's going to give them a bad rep.

Agreed - However - They are not abandoning PA.

This is from the bottom of their kick starter in the FAQ -

Are you still supporting Planetary Annihilation?

"Yes! Human Resources is being built by a separate team inside Uber. The Planetary Annihilation team will continue to support that game and release updates."

EDIT: That said - They will be sharing technology between the teams. So both teams will benefit from engine enhancements and upgrades. :)

From what I've read PA is currently online-only, which makes it verboten for GOG. If that gets fixed, then sure it should come here. If not, it doesn't belong.

Beyond that, I'm on the fence as to whether I personally want to play it. My biggest fear from the first time I saw it was that it seems to want to reiterate game mechanics of Total Annihilation while increasing the size and scope of the game substantially. The problem is, those game mechanics scale poorly in terms of the amount of micromanagement required of the player. Supreme Commander got away with it by substantially improving the user interface, but Planetary Annihilation is even bigger than that and (from the sounds of it) its interface isn't as good. The reviews I've read seem to confirm my fears that this game is a slog. While I'd be happy to be proven wrong, it looks like a mediocre game that does some interesting new things but is hobbled by problems.

Human resources looks like an interesting idea, but I'll only watch it at this juncture.
