More interested in how much longer they can keep pumping out a cod game year after year, before their sales for cod games start to drop. Then caring if they are assholes or not. Could care less about that, now the sales for these are far more interesting to me.

Andremop: Still better than Fifa or Madden in my book

spindown: I'm not a fan of annual franchises, but FIFA is actually a *very* good game.
I'd say the same about some of the CoDs.

Fred_DM: funny how everywhere people are hating on the CoD franchise, yet each installment breaks sales records.

MW2 was probably the most hated game on the internet, yet it sold beyond 20 million copies...

there are a lot of hypocrites out there.

as for me, i'll keep buying them as long as i get enough entertainment out of them to be worth my money. BF3 is the better multiplayer shooter, that's for certain, but why not also play MW3 every now and then? i like variety.

Antimateria: That Warfare 3 costs 10 euros more than any other new game, a bit greedy.
avatar
Fred_DM: it's Activision's new price policy introduced with the release of MW2. as far as i'm aware, it's not limited to the CoD franchise. Activision noticed they could get away with it, so now it's established.

personally, i've never paid more for a CoD game than for any other brand new, full-priced game. in fact, due to the weak Euro and Dollar, MW3 was the cheapest CoD installment i've ever bought.
Sales quotes do not a good game make, especially when the core community that purchases your products are a bunch of ten year olds who scream at their parents that they NEED to have it. MW3 will most certainly be yet another big seller undoubtedly, but it pretty much caters to the lowest common denominator of the console crowd, imo. (I don't have anything against the game per se, but dealing with the idiots who play it is a chore that turns me off. Especially when the franchise never does anything innovative anyway.)
If I purchase it, I'll probably wait until it's $20 or lower.

Miaghstir: I mean, I'd guess the sun rising is less certain than a new Call of Duty game.
Yea I know I was just jumping on semantics for the fun of it :P
how to improve COD:a stage where you have to escape using a forklift, while a mech is being deployed to kill you.
and the bad guy is going to be russian or german.
