A while back, together with the NWN Community, we've ran [url=http://www.gog.com/en/news/neverwinter_nights_contests_the_drm_monster_and_the_treasure_of_gog/]a contest for Neverwinter Nights GOG modules. The topic for all entrants was the same: "The DRM Monster and the Treasure of GOG". Well, now it's time to announce the winners AND present the modules which authors we decided to reward with some free GOG games.

The initial idea was to pick 4 best modules from both GOG and NWN communities and out of those pick 5 winners, but we decided that all 8 finalists deserve the prizes - each will receive 5 codes for any game at GOG.com!

The modules spotlight is our twelfth surprise in GOG.com's Holiday Celebrations. Don't know what we're talking about? For the first two weeks of December, we're going to reveal a little something for you once a day, until December 14 when we reveal the BIG surprise - that's only two days away from now!

kickbong: why do ppl make mods for such an old game?
In my case, because I want to, of course. Why shouldn't I. Up until a couple of months ago you could still buy this game over the counter in the UK. Check out all the custom content developed over the years. This games not old, it's pleasantly aged like a classic red wine. Compared to more modern offerings it is easy to design for and easier to build modules with.

You can still buy it here in the US at Best Buy. And there's still hundreds if not thousands of active servers (last I checked). I played this game at least weekly up until a year ago. It's a blast to play and to build with.
Congratulations to all the winners it's awesome that you put these together. And a big kudos goes out to GOG for setting up this contest, you guys are fostering a great sense of community for a great website!
