Best youtube comment:

"The image of Buzz punching that conspiracy theorist should be on the back of a quarter."

Telika: I also don't want the Earth to be only inhabited by people who have never stepped on the moon.
Great comment. I could sign under that.

I love conspiracy theorists implying that there was only one moon landing :D

A very sad day for the NASA community and the world. R.I.P. You will be missed.

Off topic: Fun fact, the American space program should be called the German space program. Funny, but very true.

Tarm: But the only thing I felt hearing this was "Well done and have a very deserved rest. You have lived a full life".
I agree. He accomplished a hell of a lot more than most people ever will and lived past 80 on top of that. So really, what's there to be sad about? By those to whom he was a hero, his life should be celebrated, rather than this death mourned.

Considering that they mentioned that "without Von Braun, no one can land on moon". I guess you do have a point.

There is some sort of urban legend that says the first man in space was actually some unfortunate German test pilot who was launched with some ill fated experimental rocket plane in the sky. Germany wasn't big on OSHA compliance in the final month of the war.

Wouldn't surprise me, IIRC those V-2 missiles killed more Germans than allied forces during the war.

I should also add the Russian space program as well. Dr Von Braun was a genius. Whenever i think of engineering i think 'Deutschland'.
