flydende: also if anyone knows this game i would be extremly grateful, my friends dad had a macintosh back in the day... all i remember is that it was rather flat in the sense of d2 animation, and there where fog of war on the levels, you had some kind of base or stronghold that produced monsters of different kind,
and you could stack these Ixamyakxim: I think you guys are on the wrong track thinking RTS - "you can stack these" sounds more like a tile and turn based wargame. I don't remember too many, but one that does have monsters rather than tanks and soldiers was Fantasy General (they didn't RTS that one did they?). Another might be Battles in Time.
it its deffinently more along those lines, especially fantasy general looks like the game im thinking of in terms of graphics and the "stacking of units" but it was a squared tiles if i remember correctly
Cyraxpt: Age of Empires 1?
Total Annihilation?
no its not age om empires or settlers either, and total annihilation is to "futuristic" but thanks for the input! :)
