carnival73: Cool, I'll check them out. =D

Just came back in this thread to announce that this

http://teknopants.com/games/actionfist/

Is pretty ace for an amateur platform shooter

And that Abuse copy that I linked to earlier appears to be an demo however if you go here

http://www.glennsguides.com/2008/01/abuse-download-install-guide-windows-xp.html

There are links to Abandonia where you can get the full version for fee as well as a link to DOSBox and the instructions on how to get it up and running with DOSBox in Windows with sound.

Edit:

ISO Hunt's Claw didn't work. Burned a big invisible disc image.

Found another one through Wikipedia which is only 30 megs big. Not sure if it's a demo or not.

I HAVE FOUND CLAW AND IT'S FREE

http://www.kapitanpazur.piasta.pl/en/downloads.html

It was originally being sold DD by Real Arcade however since, Real Arcade has removed it from their new shop http://www.gamehouse.com/ and is now distributed freely.

The 'CD RIp' file has a universal serial that works. Note that the CD RIp is just the fourteen levels of the game sans all the FMV's. This site also has a link to the DVD Torrent that has all FMV plus extras but looks to be some sign up and pay thing like most Torrent sites.
Thankyou! Thankyou I remember Claw!

Lol. I was just getting ready to link this in the other thread for you. =)

Auguste: Spelunky is a platformer/roguelike hybrid. And it's very, very fun.
Finally just got around to playing it. Yep, digital crack... >_>
Bio Menace is a long-term favourite of mine--and it's freeware now!
Zool! I still have the original box somewhere ...
My favorites growing up as I remember are:

Jill of the Jungle,
BioMenace,
Halloween Harry,
Jazz Jackrabbit 1 & 2,
Commander Keen series,
Duke Nukem 1 & 2
Crystal Caves,
Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure

That's all I can remember off the top of my head. We had some great platformers in our time. <3

I was not prompted to sign up or pay and I am downloading the DVD image now. The page was a little cluttered so I wouldn't be surprised if you mistakenly clicked a sneaky ad.
I recall Rayman being rather entertaining, I also recall being unable to get very far when I first played it due to difficulty.

I think that may have been what had happened. If you can do me a favor and let me know if the DVD version works, I'll go and download that.

I've been playing Raving Rabbids on my cell. =D

NEW:

Not sure if this will bump the topic back up but have tried the DVD ISO of Claw and it works, in case anyone was interested.
