I can't believe I got both these games up and running on my computer with Windows 7 64 bit OS. I had trouble with Windows XP previously.

...And with the Project Magma patches installed both games look very sweet in the graphics detpartment.

These are two gems that GOG should sell IMHO. But I know that they need to get the permission of publishers/developers before they can sell them.

I don't see what the roadblock is in selling these games. I think they would sell very well if GOG offered them.

I don't think Bungie signed them up.

I loved Myth. Some of the best games every made.

Can you post some links to places that were effective in getting it to work? I sold my games when I couldn't get them working on XP. But I've got Windows 7 32bit right now, so I could give it a shot. I'd gladly get some used copies to try.

Bungie doesn't own Myth any more. Take 2 does.
To get myth tfl and myth 2 up and running you may want to start with this site:
http://www.projectmagma.net/

I just download two patches from them.

Too bad you sold your myth games. You probably could pick up the discs on Amazon or Ebay for a cheap amount.

Thanks for these, I think I need to re-install Myths at some point, I've never finished them.

Is there a texture pack only for Myth 2, or does the Myth 1 patch improve its visuals as well?

One more thing: do these unofficial patches include also all previous official fixes, or should the official fixes be installed first?

Look in downloads on the Project Magma site, the latest patches improve visuals for both Myth tfl and Myth 2. They also improve upon the games stability and allow to play the game without the CD in the drive.

Yeah, but I noticed that for Myth 2 there was also a new texture pack. I presume then there is no such for Myth 1.

I couldn't get the first game to install, but thankfully that project magma patch contains "the fallen levels", which is the campaign of Myth 1, in Myth 2's engine.

Also, the narrator for this game is half the reason to play it, it's just so realistic, it sounds like a real historical documentary, a believable fantasy if you will. It actually sounds the narrator for the mission briefs in Disciples Sacred Lands

I had trouble installing Myth TFL on XP and had to install Myth 2 first and then install the fallen levels. But with Win 7, no problems installing either game. Go figure.
so no chance too see Myth series on gog?
