Hi guys!

I recently shifted computers, and just copied my Steam installation over. I had Munch's Oddysee installed on it, and now, I can run Munch.exe without Steam running!

It even works if you copy it out of the Steam directory! I have not tried it on a computer without Steam, but it should work, as I didn't install Steam, I just copied it.

EDIT: I just installed Direct X SDK, and Launcher.exe works without Steam too!

I've heard tell some of the older titles on Steam (and even some indie ones) don't make use of any Steamworks at all and you can simply move them where ever you like.
Dungeons of Dredmor doesn't require Steam to be running to play. Of course, it doesn't make that much of a difference to me now as they were kind enough to let me redeem it on Desura (by which I mean I emailed them my Steam receipt and they gifted it to me).

Terraria was like that at launch, but they changed it after a couple of updates. I felt a tad betrayed when my desktop shortcut stopped working. Of course, I soon 'fixed' the problem but I was still hurt by their sudden change of heart.
Nice to hear!
DRM-free Munch's Oddysee is also being sold as part of the Little Big Bunch bundle over at getgamesgo, until Jan. 2 IIRC.

Ah. I am not sure I would buy it again though, until it is released on GOG that is...
