I don't really get the meaning of these "movies" that GOG now sells.
They are movies, interviews, documentaries?

Can someone help me understanding?
Sorry I can not help with your question. I see them as just another tab I will not click on.

GOG recently added a movies section, so far they have a handful of documentaries, mostly about games. They are hoping to expand to bigger movies and possibly TV shows.

For now, there are only documentaries about games in the movies section (a lot of them pretty good!), but there will be also "normal" movies which are in the theaters right now, but later.
They managed to get an offer approved by a major studio, but the studio's lawyers refused because they thought it would make them look soft on piracy:

The DRM-free revolution has much work ahead. >:3

I can certainly recommend the Story of Minecraft, if you are in any way interested in how the game was developed. It serves as a history of Mojang's first year in existence and the people behind the game. Several good interviews with Notch and Mojang employees.

I'm looking at a couple others for later, including 100 Yen (the Japanese Arcade documentary) and Once Upon Atari. My Other Me looks interesting as well (documentary about cosplayers).

Edited for spelling mistakes.

OldOldGamer: Movies? What are they?
They're a series of moving pictures which tell a story. But that's not important right now.

Oh, and don't call me Shirley.

Did they mention that anywhere? Can we also add TV series to the wishlist? Then I want The Tripods! :D

If they do start to add tv series. I would definitely be interested.
I just had a look at some of the trailers. I think I'll actually buy some of those documentaries, they look interesting.
