A revolution is a fight to death between the future and the past.

Stream Dream, a Devolver-published documentary about the rising tide of game-streams and streaming celebrities, is available 33% off on GOG.com. That's only $3.99 for the first 3 days.

In Stream Dream filmmaker Rob VanAlkemade (Training for the Apocalypse, What Would Jesus Buy) pairs up with Devolver Digital to (rather hilariously) investigate the booming democratization of the gaming media via the suddenly hugely popular and important YouTube and Twitch streamers such as Pew Die Pie, Smosh, Angry Joe, and more. How have these personalities, who have gone from shows in their bedrooms to Beverly Hills studios and Disney representation, changed the way people learn about new games from big publishers and indie developers alike? And how are they tied to the wave of new global indie development talent changing the landscape of content creation for games? Will money and fame spoil the party?

A stream a day keeps the doctor away, so grab Stream Dream for only $3.99 on GOG.com, and follow our very own Twitch channel at Twitch.tv/GOGcom!

PaterAlf: Somehow I'm not convinced That I want to see a documentary that has Pew Die Pie in it.
The same here. I cannot stand to watch a free video from that guy on YouTube.
And Angry Joe.... yeah, the first time it was funny to see him act. But just the first time.

I think there are other, more serious guys / girls on the web playing games.

Edit: But i would not watch a movie about the life of any "streamer" :)

jalister: I don't watch a lot of game review videos, but I do like Angry Joe. Especially his 10 worst of the year videos.
Yeah he's great. I really loved how he reviewed Total War: Rome 2 - in his words: I love it but i hate it :)

Not that great, seeing how he placed Alpha Protocol on one of those "worst of" lists. Facepalm worthy choice. And the next year another one, with the Game of Thrones RPG. Not perfect games, but really good ones.

Anyway, I lost all my respect for him after his hysterics filled, childish, foaming at the mouth vlog about Batman v Superman casting. I get it, someone may not like their choices, fine, but such a manchild reaction was just sad and embarassing to watch.

zeffyr: 'so grab Stream Dream for only $x.xx on GOG.com'

Yup, let me search some Xs in my wallet ;-)
You won't find any, just as you most likely won't find any 9's. You need to look for $'s, x.xx of them to be precise.
