Hi! I was trying to figure out how to work this question into a game site that has a great group of people, but kind of off-topic question when GOG (technically) just gave me an intro to my question! =P

So hopefully someone knows this movie and can tell me the title. I saw it on TV back in the 80's. It was a color movie, so it must be from between 1975-1985 or around that decade. It was probably Asian (but there's room for error), and also possibly dubbed. I could be completely wrong about this, so if you think you know the movie, and it wasn't Asian, then please tell me what you think it was anyway.

The movie was about a man being interrogated or questioned by the authorities. He had been in a bad car accident, and they had to replace his body with a metal-looking suit EXCEPT for one arm. I guess he was mostly robotic and the suit reminded me of what a Cyberman looked like in the early forms with the flexible silver suit. I think they were trying to pin a murder on him...maybe his daughter??? Anyway, I just remember that he had complete or partial amnesia and they were all trying to piece together the story of what happened during the accident.

This is a movie I watched as a kid, but never got to see the ending, and it has haunted my thoughts ever since.

EDIT: I think it was on kind of late--maybe after 11, so it might be a bit obscure, BUT it did make it to American TV.

It's not the Six Million Dollar Man is it?
EDIT: Rereading your synopsis, maybe not :)

Automan?
My first thought was The Guyver, but that's too late, and then I thought one of the Tetsuo movies, but those are also too late. Huh.

LOL!! No, this was definitely not an American-looking movie.

No, but I do remember that one.

In this mystery movie, most of his body was replaced with robotic parts except for one arm, but I don't remember them being too technical probably due to the budget.

Tetsuo! I remember that one! How can I ever forget someone cutting open their leg and inserting a metal pipe inside?

Sorry, but Tetsuo is B&W, unless Ted Turner colorized it =P

I've wanted to see it for a while now, but never got a chance. I had no idea it was in black and white. Besides, it apparently only reached America in '92, so it's too late anyway. Hm...

Now for whatever reason Scream and Scream Again is in my head (but then again, I just read the book recently). I don't think any robot parts got stuck on a guy though (or at east not in the book).
This maybe? From what screenshots I can see it looks like it might be it.

Here's a review with some pictures. Looks like he only has one human hand.

Oh.... Wow.... Strange how some details from so long ago never survived my memory, and were instead replaced by false memories.

Yes you got it! The movie was "Who?" AKA "Roboman" Don't know how I thought this was an Asian flick...maybe because the FX were so cheesy X-D. It's also quite fascinating how my mind changed the appearance of the main character's robot costume, but after watching a couple scenes 15 and 30 minutes in, I do remember the situations in the scenes... almost as if it was a remake of the movie in my head, but this has to be it. Makes sense that I'm remembering more of the 15-30 minute mark as this was when I had to turn it off.

doccarnby, thank you so very much for helping me finally achieve some piece of mind!!! (One down, one to go :-) )
Yes! Glad to be of help, chadjenofsky.
