Sar Trek The Next Generation: A Final Unity was a brilliant trek game, blending interesting (if clunky) space combat with the best of point & click adventures

PhoenixWright: Star Trek: 25th Anniversary
Star Trek: Judgement Rites
The only good Star Trek games? We've got voice acting from some of the original actors in these, which is more exciting here than in the other games I'm listing.
These games totally rock, if you happen to be either a trekkie or a trekker.
Voice acting is somewhere between horrible and embarassing though. The entire cast seems to be just reading their lines without any real effort to actually sound like the characters. Still, it's the real Kirk and Spock and Bones, so when playing, you more or less forgive their unenthusiastic voice acting.

As far as the best Star Trek game goes, it would have to be
Star Trek: The Next Generation - A Final Unity

Like Interplay's games, it is a point'n'click adventure, and it has all of the TNG cast doing voices as well. And they are actually acting their parts really well. Game is not bad either, not counting the sucky battles, but Interplay's games had unneeded battles too. Starting from the tv-styled intro, every true trekkie/trekker is in for a real treat with this one.

Now that's what I'm talking about! Gotta get this thing, so I can put in on my shelf and promise myself I'll come around and... play it... one day.

This may take a while.
I totally loved Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and Blade Runner
I really liked Tron 2.0 probably mostly because of the IP, but I still really enjoyed it. It was also my kid's first 'real' introduction to the Tron world. It remains one of the few game boxes that I can see siting at my desk at home.

Does anybody have any deep thoughts about Indiana Jones ant the Infernal Machine? Didn't play it all the way through, I'm afraid, I got to that island in the pacific and got stuck I think. Up to that point, the game didn't really impress me, but neither did it induce a full flame on rant. I would give it a 6/10 or 7/10, if you count the fact that I had fun with the whip. Other than that, no major thoughts about it, other than why wasn't there an easter egg in the game that turned Indy into Lara. You could only get Guybrush :D

PhoenixWright: The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena
It includes Butcher Bay....
Great game, this. I wish it was more popular.

aluinie: Well this is going back a long time but the 16 bit versions of Batman the movie where really good in my opinion. They game stayed true to the film. At the time one of the best ocean releases ever.
8-Bit!
I still have my +3 Spectrum disk of BtM ^_^
Tron 2.0, Indiana Jones, plenty of Star Wars and LOTR games, Chronicles of Riddick
the ducktales games are supposed to be ledgends of games, though i don't recall playing them.

@Titanium

Sorry my inner fanboy geek insists i correct you here, with the kindest of intentions.

niether book Roadside picnic (1971) or the film stalker (1979) feature Chernobyl as the disaster didn't occur untill 1986. The games are however set in Chenobyl (but still based on the book/fim).

The inspiration for this comesfrom the fact that GSC game worlds are not to far from where the disater took place and back when it happened. the men who had to bury the reactor wore Gas masks, and "protective" suits that reminded people of the Stalkers from the book, for which they became known. Couple that with a mysterois abandoned town like in the book and you can see why they go together so well.

Since I killed this thread, i'm going to try and resuscitate it by adding that

Disneys epic micky
Tron evolution
and the new goden eye

all look good.
