liquidsnakehpks: too bad they removed revolt or else i would have listed it, it was a great racing game
Yea I'm thinking of picking that up on N64.

Ultra_DTA: I will check those out. To be honest, I thought UFO was a regional name for X-Com! Shows how much I know!
It was actually. In Europe the original X-com was called UFO: Enemy Unknown. The ones on GOG are not directly related to X-com though, they are just inspired by X-com.

I have the original disc of the PC version which had way better graphics than N64 and PSX and still looks good for todays standards.
In some way, I find underrated:
Treasure Adventure Game (great indie game)
Blade of Darkness (the best "Gladiator style" game I played)
Gothic I (not by us, RPG gamers, but "professional" reviewers worldwide)
Evoland (an interesting game, you evolve in the game as games evolved)

Overrated:
Tomb Raider 2: not great as 1 or 3, but several times considered best.
Underrated: Deathtrap Dungeon

Overrated: System Shock 2, sorry, it isn't a very good game. Thief and other first-person cRPGs are better.

Oh wow. That's confusing. The covers for the UFO games are very cool, haha. I'll look into em for sure.

Darned PC and it's superior graphics, lol. The N64 was my first console that was actually mine, I'm very nostalgic towards it. Plus I don't know if I could get an older windows game to run on windows 8.

Evoland has such a cool concept, but I've heard mediocre things about it. What are your thoughts on it?

Evoland was the disappointment of the year for me. It's nothing more than a collection of references for nostalgia without all the love that made the games it got it's stuff from so nice. It's extremely short and overly linear even for JRPG standards too.

That's unfortunate. I'm really not into jrpgs. I catch flack for this everytime, but anime is sort of the bane of my existence, lol. Maybe I'm too "Stallone-esque American". Lol.

JRPGs aren't bad games. It's just that the popular ones tend to be.

I'm not saying they are. Just not really my thing. I like Final Fantasy, and a couple of others, but some people live for them and that's just not me. I much prefer action rpgs or crpgs.

The gameplay, specially in the turn-based section, is fairly simple, and the story is not good (I really can't remember what it was). But the concept I think is unique, and here's where the game shines. As it's short, I really liked it. But if you want a serious RPG, than it will deceive you.

Maybe if it goes on sale I'll give it a shot. Sometimes a concept can salvage a game, at least to some extent.
