kennethkully: FWIW, I'm working with the 2011 compiler, Warwon, to get a new site up and running for him, complete with a locally-hosted file for download. I'll post a link for y'all when it's up and running.
Cool, though not really answering my question. I'll wait for the whole thing to unravel, perhaps some recommended specs will show up. ;)

Sorry, my bad. Meant to just post a notice, hit the reply button instead. Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

FWIW, Morrowind (vanilla) apparently runs rather well on the 7600 GT. If you want the pessimistic estimate, cut the framerates at this link in half, and use that as your working answer.

No problem.:)

Hm, those are quite nice actually, i though all those lightning effects would kill my rig in 5 minutes.;) I'll ask my friends around for a copy of Morrowind that gathers dusk on the shelf and prepare to see this thingie. Thanks!;)
As some guy in some Harry Potter movie said: "He's back!"

Shalgroth: I mean, I'm not a lawyer.. But surely I just nailed the gist of it right there? Asking for permission is, in just this case, a formality and a gesture. Nothing more.
I think the critical takehome is that asking for permission to use other modders' work basically falls into the category of "don't be a dick." When I regularly interacted with the mod community (although this was several years ago) it was a pretty tight-knit group, and members were generally very friendly and willing to help out other modders, provided those other modders were respectful and extended what were considered common courtesies. If a modder started pulling dickish moves then they'd basically get blackballed until they demonstrated that they'd changed their behavior. This is basically what's happened in this case, the creator of the Morrowind 2011 Graphical Project basically pulled a dick move by using the work of a bunch of modders without asking for permission, and the community responded accordingly. Additionally, if the guy had simply offered a "mea culpa" then sought permission of the modders whose work he'd used then he probably would have gotten permission pretty easily, but it seems he's still being a bit of a dick about the whole thing.

GameRager: Or maybe he's just as human as most of us.....food for thought.
I'm friends with the guy...just live a couple of hours north of him, in fact. He's a pretty decent sort, but he does have a bit of an impulsive streak...kind of a shoot first and ask questions later type. He saw the mod as a neat opportunity, and went for it...and missed a few steps along the way.

I hosted his site on the condition that he dot his 'I's and cross his 'T's, so to speak.
So I've been playing this a fair amount and am enjoying it loads.

However one thing that is MAJORLY pissing me off is fleeing enemies.
1) Whenever an enemy is low on health they start running away. Annoying.
2) Some creatures start fleeing the moment you engage them (i.e. rats). Fucking annoying.

I don't recall this kind of behaviour in standard Morrowind, I am pretty sure that it is one of the plugins of the mod composition. I went through the list but couldn't find it. Does anyone know how to disable it?
It's part of the sabregirl ecology plugins. Personally, I love them and I was always using them :) But I can see how it is annoying when you want to hunt. I usually treat the creatures as animals and just let them on their way

Thanks for the info. I found the esm files but I don't want to remove them due to all the other changes. Would it be possible to just change certain parameters to make them stop fleeing?

In other news, I disabled MGE. Enough is enough. It made loading times substantially longer but the main reason was because it kept crashing. My game would crash anywhere between 5min-1h of gameplay. Annoying. Besides that, I like the old Morrowind look anyway.

By the way, I was wondering whether there is a simple way of disabling Fatigue? I really don't like Fatigue as a game mechanic.
By the way, this modpack also contains lots of new random NPCs all over the place, i.e. Warriors, Mages, Rangers, etc. Which addon is it? I really want to disable that.

I am less and less impressed with this mod pack the more and more I play.

Sounds like it could be Morrowind Comes Alive.
