Hey guys,
I don't hang out on the forums much, so I may have missed some comments from the GOG staff in the last few years...Does anyone know if we can expect to see more Microprose games on GOG?

A few absolute classics that I would love to see available again -

Gunship 2000
Gunship
F-15E Strike Eagle
F-15 Strike Eagle III
F-19 Stealth Fighter
M1 Tank Platoon (all time favourite of mine!)
M1 Tank Platoon 2
European Air War
Railroad Tycoon
X-Com

(I believe the rights to the last two sit with 2K these days).

Many of these were addmittedly niche titles in their day but there's some outstanding games among them. Wondering if there is any appetite from the community to see more of Microprose's sims released?

Of course there is always more demand for old games. Where do you think you are, after all? :P
You are correct that X-Com is being sold by 2K those days in other stores (like GamersGate and Steam). Railroad Tycoon 2+3 are also sold on Steam by 2K, while the first one is offered for free by 2K themselves here (site might be down, though).

Yeah, when Microprose when down the rights got carved up between Atari and 2K (I think because Sid Meier kept some rights and started a new company called Frixis that then got bought by 2K, could be wrong though)

Then Atari themselves went bust and rights were up for grabs again, someone on these forums found a legal document that listed what Tommo got (Tommo have recently re-branded their games on GOG to 'Retroism' in association with Night Dive), the remaining ones that the list suggests Tommo could still bring are:

Tommo:
Across the Rhine (Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Air War series (1942: The Pacific, European) (Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Command H.Q. (Microplay/Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Elite (Firebird - Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Falcon (a.k.a F-16 Fighting Falcon) series (Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Fleet Defender: The F-14 Tomcat Simulation (Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Gunship series (Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Knights of the Sky (Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Lightspeed / Hyperspeed series (Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
MicroProse Entertainment Pack Vol #1: Dr Floyd's Desktop Toys (Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Orbiter (Spectrum Holobyte - Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Sentinel, The (a.k.a The Sentry) (Firebird - Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Starlord (Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Stunt Driver (Spectrum Holobyte - Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Task Force 1942 (Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
This Means War! (Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Virtual Karts (Microprose - Atari - Tommo)
Weird Dreams (Rainbird - Microprose - Atari - Tommo)

But that's just the Microprose ones

I played F-19 and F-15E a great deal on my C64 and Amiga, especially the first which was truly one of the best flying simulators back then (the other was more arcade-ish). And of course, Gunship is very well known. Yet, in all honesty, I don't think I would buy them again. But I'd be certainly happy if they became available again thanks to GOG. What I would definitely buy, though, is the original X-COM series - actually I have refrained so far from buying it on GamersGate in the hope of it showing up here.
