house95: When is Monkey Island going to kick ass here in GOG?
Please, it is the best game ever
They actually offered it, but we made it clear that we wanted nothing to do with Lucasarts. Dodged that bullet!

Roman5: Only after Elder Scrolls III is released here, and not a day sooner

also: good ol wishbone :)

JudasIscariot: Just to spite you, Roman, they're going to hold off until 3100 to release anything Elder Scrolls related :P

Also, not before Thief or System Shock is released!
Sadly, those will not be released until Wasteland comes out. It appears Monkey Island is quite a ways back!

tfishell: Are you related to Simon Pegg?
avatar
wpegg: I wish I were. Pegg is a more common name than you'd think in the UK, However, as I've asserted before, all Peggs feel each others presence, and we all know and feel that Simon is there for us. He does kinda rock from a geek perspective.
So Peggs are sort of like the Borg then? Except with a better fashion sense and better PR?

Same fashion sense. God I love that green/blue blooded look, and all those implants. Thankfully our improved PR has helped us to assimilate in ... I mean integrate in :).

You do know that Monkey Island 1 and 2 have been re-released in high def. Also the games include a 'retro' mode where the game is rendered in all its original glory. So there's not really a need for GOG to release the 'original' version, nor for LucasArts to partner with them to do so. If you want MI1/2 just go out and buy it. Hell the iTunes version of MI2 is only $2.99! There's no real excuse not to purchase them.

D2D has both games in a bundle for $14.95. Or separately on Steam for $9.99.

The point is the games are already out there for a reasonable price, plus a graphical upgrade to boot. It's not a case of 'abandonware' or whatever. It exists, right now. Go get it.

If LucasArts ever joins, I want their first GOG games to be those not currently available on Steam.

So:
Day of the Tentacle
Sam & Max Hit The Road
Grim Fandango
Full Throttle
TIE Fighter: Collector's CD
X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter
