I'm In and Thanks!

I'm really looking forward to playing "DIVINITY: ORIGINAL SIN" (when the linux version comes out), been hearing a lot of good things about it. :)

Less than 6 hours left to go!
Count me in. Thank you!

Divinity: Original Sin is my favorite RPG this year. I'm looking forwad to The Witcher 3 the most, but I probably wont be getting it until it gets a price cut and goes on sale.

Tallima: I found the article. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-11-06-ever-wondered-what-the-author-of-the-witcher-books-thinks-about-the-games

He doesn't hate the game, it turns out. He is just indifferent and wishes that his books would not be associated with the game since they follow different trajectories.

It's a good read.

Sorapak: wow,he came out like kind of a.. donkey(or an alternative word for it..)
Especially the part that he says the books boosted the games sales mostly and not the other way around... Well,I believe it is quite unlikely..
I think that a lot of avid Witcher readers bought into the game. And I think that's great. And he's probably right, the books gave the game more players than it would have otherwise. But the way I see it, it quickly turned around to where the games are and will continue to boost book sales dramatically.

That said, the writer is one of the most popular Polish writers (I think anyway) and he didn't need any other media to make his work appreciated or sell well. I can imagine it's insulting to him when a native English speaker decides that his work only has merit b/c of a game some other Polish guys made.

mrkgnao: In for Ingsoc85.
Thank you, +1.

I don't own any RPGs from 2014 because, frankly, they are too expensive and I am waiting for a massive discount before I buy such expensive games.

I am very much looking forward to playing Blackguards, Divinity Original Sin, and Legend of Heroes TITS.

Meanwhile, I have enough in my backlog to hold me over until hell freezes over. Currently playing Driftmoon (the jury is still out).
This, meaning the whole thing, minus Driftmoon. W00t for double-proxy entries. Thanks for YAAGA Billymaysfan!

Honestly though perhaps the best rpg I played in 2014 was theA Clash of Kings (Game of Thrones) mod for Mount&Blade:Warband. Although the game encompasses so much more than just "rpg" that's probably the first genre classification it falls under.
