Spoony's reviews are hillarious and there's a lot of truth in them but they are also his form of entertaining his audience. Meaning that everything is also comically over the top.

Ultima IX - while not really being able to capture the spirit of the great Ultimas (especially all the parts 7) - is nonetheless an RPG which basically suffered from being released too soon but would have been decent if it wouldn't have been Ultima.

I played MMIX when it first came out, and I bought it again here. Haven't played too many Ultima games yet.

That Spoony video is funny as hell. I stopped about halfway in though so I can savor the game for myself without any more spoilers. The stuff that bugs him wouldn't upset me but his points are valid just the same. I'll probably have some good laughs about the ridiculous inconsistencies in story, rather than get upset.

Seeing the game makes me want to play it all the more now! Come on GOG! Bring us Ultima IX, please, please!
