It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

This is a fascinating article by the NY Times. It goes into the specifics of Microsoft's constant struggle against serious piracy.
Sounds interesting, but it requires you to register.

Not everyone uses firefox.

Also, those who visit the forums while at work or from school computers may not have permission to install extensions to their web browser.
I keep forgetting about bugmenot...

In any case, they also have a website you can access without the need for an addon:
http://www.bugmenot.com/
Or more easy, just Google for the title and enter through Google. You can find the article here.

You are correct... It is...

Not that I think you'd get busted... or should get busted... and not that you can't include a few sentences as excerpt with a link... but technically it is.

Besides... It's the New York Times.
It wants 1 email address and a password... and lets you opt out of every offer. Why not register?

I've made that mistake with NYT in the past, if you're registered and logged in, that site is surprisingly good at keeping your login active and not bugging you, most of the time you'd not notice you were logged in at all

I suppose all is forgiven, because I found out about BugMeNot.
