Navagon: A lie and a weakness. But nothing to do with ethics. If the achievement of a more ethical society is communism's true intent then the road to hell is truly paved with good intentions. But in reality communism has only ever been a thin guise for increased governmental control to the point of total dominance of its people.

You seem very keen to try and judge me. But all I've given you is what I oppose. If I am not one extreme I must be the other? Is that the way of it? That's a very closed minded perspective.
Ask yourself this: what did they call capitalism before communism existed?
I never said anything about communism.. we were talking about left-wing ideals, hopefully not totalitarian..

It seems that I judged you fine, as you immediately agreed with that "lie and a weakness" line and started to talk about communism vs capitalism. By the way, the latter together with liberism caused the current world crisis: epic fail!

You pick the bits you want to hear and disregard the rest. So I guess I judged you just fine. You, on the other hand still think that I'm a devout capitalist who hates social institutions. LOL. :D

Again, I never said that, I was replying to your absurd statements about left-wing ideals.
From your words, I just think that you're a right-wing who probably thinks that he's a moderate centrist.
Whatever, this isn't going anywhere and it's even OT here..

Something for which you've got no basis. I've never once stated what I support. Other than to say that it's definitely not communism. Nor is it what communism has turned out to be time and time again. You've really got to take a look at your sense of judgement, because it's way, way off the mark. It's not a problem in some stupid internet debate, but I bet it could really fuck your life up one day, if it hasn't already.

Well, all this discussion started with your reply to my post about left-wing and you basically said that those ideals are fake. That's enough for a good starting judgement, isn't it? (also, you later even confirmed some of my assumptions).
If you're left-wing after those statements.. you are quite confused or a troll O_o

My impression is that right wing is currently a bit stronger than left wing but the center is strongest of all usually. The reason is that right wing plays the nationalistic card which is very popular. Funny though because if you think about it if you think your country is better than others then that can be true at most only for a minor subset. The problem is that once a right wing government is installed it mostly corrupts everything and derails the course of democracy. First media is controlled, then the constitution is dismantled, then justice becomes dependent, then dicrimination follows and in the end you have a nice tyranny with a bit of democracy as a facade or a show but not the real thing. It happened so often in history and it will happen again.

Maybe we will soon hear about a revolution in Hungary. Tiananmen Square, Tahrir place, Gezi park, Maidan, ...what is the name of the biggest and most central square in Budapest?

Or maybe just emigrate to another place if this is possible. I hear Canada is quite friendly to immigrants who can work.

I'm really not clear on how you're defining left and right wing here. When it comes to the left you seem to think the same way as an American republican might look at it - that spending tax dollars on things that benefit taxpayers (instead of spending tax revenue on bombing third world countries) is pure commie pinko territory.

But then equally, anything that doesn't unquestioningly embrace Marxist ideology is hardcore capitalist Donald Trump territory?

So either you've got no concept of moderation or the troll is calling others a troll in order to distract attention away from their trolling. Which is easier for me to believe? That you see the world in such a binary way, yet are perfectly capable of stringing together coherent sentences. Or that you're doing this on purpose?

Ok enough of this, it's like 3 days that is going on. This "discussion" is useless, let's stop it.

Though rarely wise to step into a dick-measuring contest online, I have to chime in here. It was called "capitalism" because the term pre-dates communism. Indeed, the adjective capitalist showed up in the European Middle Ages.

Unless you're retconning older civilizations into a label; in which case, the core concepts of capital also predate the terminology.

011284mm: It really is time to get the f**k out of Europe, it is all going to hell under greedy, incompetent berks claiming they are incharge.

Humm... China looks like a nicely modorated and balanced nation. Time to see about a job there.
Where will you go if you leave? The whole world is going to hell under greedy or incompetent people. There is nowhere to run to. I'm sure, the grass is not greener in China and if it is, for how long?

And moving to another country can be very difficult for some people.

I think the best course is most probably a balanced centric approach. Either too much left or too much right is not good for any country in the long run. A bit of communism together with a good chunk of capitalism and freedom and balance of power and a strong constitution and strong minority rights and low corruption and a free and independent press. That is the basis of properity.

And Hungary? Hasn't much of it currently. Therefore it should be on the way down. It's sad but now only a lot of civil disobecience and or economic pressure will change anything, the country is already too deep in the mud. An internet tax that doesn't come now isn't a golden summer.

I saw photos of the massive protests, how this ended? internet tax is rejected?

This strikes me as being a bit naive. What exactly constitutes "A bit of communism", how exactly is that implemented and upheld through rule of law in a strong constitution, and where are there any successful examples of this "bit o' communism" without a corollary degradation in the other aspects of government that you mentioned?

I saw communism solely in the economic sense, e.g. strong social networks, aka support of the poor and redistribution of wealth from the rich to the poor. I guess in the US such ideas would be seen as very left wing and readily denounced as communistic by some. A kind of successful example would by my own country which was at least in the past quite proud of its social achievements while doing fine otherwise, maybe because of the right balance of left and right, maybe just by luck.

I should have explained better but you know, internet posts are either short and full of buzzwords or long and boring to read. Getting all the essential arguments in a short amount of text is an art I do not completely master.

The planned internet tax in Hungary is off the table for now but the protests are going on (http://www.dw.de/renewed-protests-challenge-hungarys-orban/a-18070422). This time it's anti-corruption protests. Problem is that if indeed top politicians in Hungary are corrupt (and with such a majority in such an area you can probably bet on it) than they will do everything to stay in power and stay corrupt.
The best would be to found a new party and challenge the rulers next elections. But hey, without an independent media and with all the govermental harassment you won't get anything but full force against you. Hungary is a lost case I guess, at least until the majority of people loose faith in their leaders which can take a while.
