GTA4 showed me the appeal of the high Rockstar production value. Furthermore, with sales below expectations, retail offers the game at roughly half its original RRP already.

On the flipside, reports about excessive cutscenes or the charm of the originals being lost still scare me away. What Gersen wrote hits too close to home for me, just last year Human Revolution was an impressive demonstration how my appreciation of a (by itself) decent game gets dramatically worse if it doesn't fit its series.

If you thought Human Revolution was too far removed from Deus Ex (which baffles me) then stay far away from this, as it is way more different.
So Max Payne 3 = Over Priced + corridor shooter with cinematics Mmm.. rubbish

I got it at $30 and it is definitely worth that. Not worth the original $60 unless you're gonna play multiplayer.

Corridor shooter? I guess... I'm pretty sure MP1 and 2 were linear as hell as well though, so not sure why that's different. Not sure why it's negative either, linear games can be great for different reasons than open ones.

Yep $30 is good steam have it for 59.95 which is not worth it IMHO
Haha, right after I start playing they release an update that breaks the game. Awesome.

I love DRM!
