would it be possible to get max payne on gog? just wondering as its an amazing game, but the sound doesn't like to work on windows 7 for some reason and it upsets me =[

There is a fix for the sound here:

Download the zip file from post 57(version 12_1), unzip it in the max payne game folder(after installing and patching the game first of course), click the maxbatch.bat file it will create in your maxpayne game folder, then on the screen that pops up type C(for convert, to convert the game sound files to work right), and wait till the screen says finished or done.

After this the game will run from it's desktop link or executable and there will be sound.

avoid film at all costs. You will feel violated.
