Kestrel: Obviously GOG won't give a portion of it's business for free.
GOG isn't in the business of selling manuals. I'm sure that it can sustain the losses from all the people who buy the games only for the manuals.
You do of course know that GOG is not the legal owner of these manuals and probably cannot release them at will?

ET3D: I think it won't hurt GOG to do this, precisely because most gamers don't care about this. Those who do, however, will benefit from the manual being made available.

So have GOG add that to the contract.

If Steam can have the manuals linked from the store page, I see no reason GOG can't.

Kestrel: The opinion that a manual gives you insight into the game quality is curious though. Do you read TV manuals before buying one?
Not for TV, but I've done that for computer games already. Especially for simulations and RPGs, a game manual gives you a good idea of the content, options, features, level of complexity, etc.

Exactly! I fully agree with you.
