While 30FPS seem fluid enough, I always have an unsettling feeling that something is off. It makes me anxious because of how "unwieldy" everything feels.
@60FPS, however, everything feels fine, sharp and... distinct.
Borderlands drops to 40fps with dynamic shadows on and AA forced and it drives me NUTS.
I like 60... anything less is annoying.

stonebro: The human eye is capped at about 25 fps, so 30 is enough for any setting. You cannot react faster than what your eyes can detect anyway.

It's not about how many frames the eye can see. It's about how smoothly the game will run.
I only play titles with 60 seconds per frame or more.
