I was unable to find the topic covering the issue of different regional prices and aid requests, and I have tried searching, so I thought I'd just post a question about it :)

It just came to my attention that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is a lot cheaper in the US than it is here in Europe :O

I was wondering if any of you Americans here would be so benevolent as to gift me this, I would be most grateful :D (I would prefer repayment happening in form of another gift, as I'm not a user of paypal or any other money transfering service)

With Steam, prices are almost always cheaper for the US. Steam largely (are there any cases where they don't?) uses the "$ equal squiggly european money" system. So we might pay 6.80 in USD, but they have to pay 6.80 in pounds or euros (which is a bit more).

Bad Company 2 is only on sale today though, so GameRager, it might be a bit late if we have to wait for the first :(

On the price note, it's €13.60 here, meaning that $6.80 is a LOT cheaper.

I'd add each other as friends and then gift directly through Steam, there's a special option for it when you're gifting.
