Silrog: Perhaps one could ask GoG to create an AAR section where embedding pictures is allowed? At least for the topic starter.
Not a bad idea, actually. There are a number of titles in the GOG catalog that would serve as pretty decent fodder for an AAR/DAR type area.

Actually, something like that could be part of what I'd personally like to see GOG start to do : focus on MP community. They carry a lot of games that would be well served by such a move, and would probably sell more units of said games if they started focusing a bit on MP.
I just dropped the suggestion about an AAR section. Depending on the answer, we'll see what we do.

Cool. :) So, since you've actually played at least a SP Beta version of Pontiac's War, what were your feelings about it? Is it maybe worth waiting for? Do they have a general timeline for when it might be released?

Quite simply the best Natives vs Non-native campaign so far, by far. Supply is even more important than in other campaigns, and Indians have new units which makes them fun to play (canoes to skirmish English bateaux, mobile supplies,...) . The Indians have an extreme mobility and the terrain for them, but the English have the firepower and can move during winter. The English player on the other hand has to many points to defend or attack to just concentrate his force - and the supply would not follow anyway. So he must make small groups, but not so small that natives can crush it. Unfortunately, the AI cannot cope as the English.

When I say I played the "beta", it is because it was at the beginning a mod by Hobbes (an AGEOD forumite), but it was so good that the developers decided to make it an official campaign, and thus the "mod" became a beta. You can still download it on AGEOD forum :

I feel the new non-beta patch will be out rather soon, as there has been no complain / challenge on the latest beta patch for a few weeks. At worse, we can play it directly "as a mod".

I assume there is a huge reward for the creative mind behind the suggestion? ;)
