For years I have been looking for a game of which I played the demo about 10-12 years ago, but I can't find the name anywhere. As a last attempt to find the game and be able to finish it, I ask you people for help. Description of the game:
-combat helicopter game (not sure if it was an Apache or an other heli)
-after a mission you could buy upgrades for the weapons
-2d, top down view
-if I remember correctly health and ammo indicators were on the left side of the screen
-I don't know a release date/year, it was a long time ago (it did work on windows 95 without using DOS)

I'm pretty sure it's not Desert Strike, because in my memory the menus look different.

I hope you people can help me with my search, thanks in advance.

one of the other strike games? jungle? nuclear?
There are other parts in the *Strike series:

Might be worth checking out the rest, to make sure that it is not one of them
Or possibly Seek & Destroy:

Jungle Strike was my guess as well. Did it involve shooting ground targets, rescuing people using rope ladders and only occasionally shooting enemy helicopters? IIRC, Jungle Strike also had a fuel indicator.

As soon as I saw the name Seek and Destroy I remembered the name, thanks for the really quick help. Now I only have to find a copy of the game.
