It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Export: I didn't do anything special. I got the weird rainbow colour glitch, also seen in Starcraft, but that can be fixed either by leaving the Windows "change desktop resolution" window open, or closing explorer.exe (oddly enough). Have you installed it in Program Files? That can often cause problems, apparently. If you have, try installing it in something like c:\games\diablo.

Other than that, I could only suggest finding a torrent of it and seeing if that works any better. There's one on TPB with Hellfire (normally I wouldn't suggest pirating a game, but you can't buy this off the Blizzard site like you can with D2. Any way you buy this game, Blizzard won't be seeing a penny).
I do indeed install to c:\games\diablo. I've done everything suggested and so far nothing has worked. I hope it's not my disc dying. I'd be so pissed.
i recently re-installed (and finally completed) Diablo + Hellfire as well. the game is W7x64-compatible out of the box. it has a 'rainbow color' problem under certain conditions, and i don't remember what i did to get rid of it, but i did and it didn't involve the Windows Explorer nor the 'Change Desktop Resolution' window.

There is a registry fix for the rainbow effect, then you don't need to do any of that other stuff.

Those keys from Blizzard only work for vanilla Diablo 1.09, I made my own reg files to fix Hellfire if anyone wants them.

32-Bit Windows 7 Hellfire Fix
64-Bit Windows 7 Hellfire Fix

These are just text files of course. Open them in a text editor before you run them if you want to see exactly what they do. These will only work with Hellfire 1.01, other versions would have a different ID and need a different key.
